A remarkable event has occurred!

The International Halal Science and Technology Conference 2023 (IHSATEC): 16th Halal Science Industry and Business (HASIB) was an outstanding event held on December 2-3, 2023.

The International Halal Science and Technology Conference 2023 (IHSATEC): 16th Halal Science Industry and Business (HASIB) was an outstanding event held on December 2-3, 2023. IHSATEC is a conference collaboration program between The Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and Research Synergy Foundation. This conference was held Hybrid and has given a chance to increase knowledge among researchers found ideas for further research, and new found research and collaboration opportunities.

This event was held in two day and the hybrid conference has been a great success. Participants and audiences who attended came from various countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Egypt, New Zealand, Qatar, Pakistan, Iran, UAE, Algeria, France, Brunei Darussalam, USA, Switzerland, Australia, Bangladesh, Trinidad and Tobago and many more.

All researchers, scholars, and colleagues participated in the discussions and exchanged ideas at the scientific conference. This year, the conference aimed strengthen multidisciplinary research from basic for share their thought and findings in various spectrum of Islamic Finance, Food science, Health and Physical Science, Food Safety and Security, Biotechnology, Halal Studies, Green technology, Mobile Commerce, Halal Tourism/Service, E-Business, Digital Marketing, Nutrition (outline), Natural Products, Bioactive Compounds and Cosmetic Science and other related field of studies. This international conference was held on December 2-3, 2023 with 3 session of virtual presentation, 3 session at the Onsite Conference for oral academic presentation and 3 Session at the Onsite Conference for Poster Conference.

In this conference, we discuss and shares research topic surrounding: Islamic Finance, Food science, Health and Physical Science, Food Safety and Security, Biotechnology, Halal Studies, Green technology, Mobile Commerce, Halal Tourism/Service, E-Business, Digital Marketing, Nutrition (outline), Natural Products, Bioactive Compounds and Cosmetic Science.

The IHSATEC was arranged seamlessly between the onsite and online participants. The opening started live from the Nouvo City Hotel Bangkok, Thailand, while the virtual participants joined through the online platform Zoom. The opening consisted of Prof. Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat as Vice President for Research Affairs, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Police Major General Surin Palarae as Secretary General of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) delivered the welcoming remarks, followed by Report Notes, by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan, Founding Director, The Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University (HSC-CU). After that, Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha as President of the National Assembly, Thailand and H.E. Mr. Aroon Boonchom, Elected as the 19th Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, delivered the opening remarks.

In this session, the discussion went smoothly on some of the presenters attended and the questions came from onsite and virtual attendees. After all the presenter finished with their presentation, all the presenters and attendees join The Speaker Session 4  in Room 1.

 

The next session was the Panel Discussion, Question and Answer session, the discussion went smoothly on some of the presenters attended and the questions came from onsite attendees.

The first session for day 2 of International Halal Science and Technology Conference 2023 (IHSATEC): 16th Halal Science Industry and Business (HASIB) is Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

 

The next session was the Speaker session delivered on site at the Room 1 by Assoc Prof. Dr. Shahid Bashir from The University of Lahore, Pakistan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moohamad Ropaning Sulong, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Brunei Darussalam.

Parallel with the Speaker session delivered on site at the Room 2 by Prof. Dr. Lela Nurlaela Wati from Universitas Teknologi Muhammadiyah Jakarta, Indonesia, Mr. Mohd Hazim Mohd Yusop from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia, Dr. Nita Rusdiana from Universitas Muhammadiyah A.R. Fachruddin, Indonesia and Mr. Sheraz Ali from University of the West Indies, Trinidad, and Tobago.

 

 

After all the speaker finished with their presentation, all the presenters and attendees take a short break for waiting the Best Presenter, Best Paper announcement, Session Chair Recognition and Closing Speech.

 

 

The next session was the Closing Remarks, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan as Founding Director, The Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University (HSC-CU).
