International Conference on the Synergy of Islamic and Multidisciplinary Approaches (ICISMA)

Day 1 (Feb 11)

A significant occurrence has unfolded!

The first day of The International Conference on the Synergy of Islamic and Multidisciplinary Approaches (ICISMA) was held successfully on 11 February 2026. Organized by Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah (UIA) and Research Synergy Foundation (RSF), this conference was held virtually through the online platform.

The ICISMA brought the theme of “Synergy of Islamic and Multidisciplinary Approaches” with various tracks of interdisciplinary fields of study presented by the participants. The conference aims to provide a dynamic forum for the advancement of knowledge, collaboration, promotion of cross-cultural understanding, and to strengthen interdisciplinary research. It serves as a platform for scholars to share their thoughts and findings in various spectrums of Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Halal Industry, Technology, and Management.

The conference has successfully gathered speakers, participants, scientific reviewer, session chair, and attendees from more than 16+ countries around the globe, such as Indonesia, Egypt, Malaysia, USA, Taiwan, India, Iran, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, the Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and many more.

A Seamless Virtual Conference

The conference started with the Opening Remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Dailami Firdaus, SH, L.LM., MBA. as the Head of Yayasan Perguruan Tinggi As-Syafiiyah.



The second welcoming speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Masduki Ahmad, S.H., M.M., the Rector of Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah (UIA). He emphasized the importance of synergy between Islamic institutions and modern scientific development.

Following the opening, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, Founder & Chairperson of Research Synergy Foundation (RSF), delivered the Global Research Ecosystem Introduction. She highlighted RSF's commitment to assisting scholars in navigating the world of scientific publication and creating a credible academic environment.

Keynote Speaker Sessions

The first day featured insightful presentations from distinguished Keynote Speakers who addressed critical contemporary issues. The session began with Dr. Muhammad Munir, a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. He presented on the topic "From the State of the Khalifah to the Nation State: The Transformation of Islamic Political Theory," providing a historical analysis of Islamic governance structures.

Following him was Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., M.H., the Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. He discussed "Moderation In The Application Of Shariah In Indonesia," highlighting the balanced approach to religious law within a modern constitutional framework.

The final speaker for the day was Prof. Dr. Khaliq Ahmad, (Ph.D.) from the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization, IIUM, Malaysia. He spoke on "ESG and the Impacts on Nations including Muslim Countries," analyzing how environmental, social, and governance standards align with Islamic values.

The online academic presentation session of the ICISMA. Presenters presented their Abstract proudly online according on their placement. Throughout this session, the academic discourse flowed seamlessly, marked by a series of fascinating and thought-provoking presentations. The virtual participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm, actively engaging with the speakers by posing assertive and deeply analytical questions during the Q&A segments. This dynamic interaction significantly enriched the overall discussion, providing broader perspectives on the topics at hand. Once all presenters had successfully delivered their research findings and thoroughly addressed the audience's inquiries, the session chair formally concluded the track. Subsequently, all presenters and attendees were seamlessly directed to transition to the next scheduled agenda, ensuring the conference continued precisely on time.

 

 

Awarding Session

After the presentation sessions concluded, the conference moved to the awarding session and the closing ceremony. The MC announced the Session Chairs Recognition and the Best Presentation awards. For the first day of the conference.

The Best Presentation category was nominated based on the professionalism, the organization of the presentation, the visual of the presentation, and the handling of the questions, based on the evaluation given by the Session Chairs throughout the presentations.

The event was officially closed by the organizers, marking the end of a successful international gathering. The committee expressed their gratitude to all keynote speakers, presenters, and participants for their contributions to the synergy of Islamic and multidisciplinary studies.

Day 2 (Feb 12)

A remarkable event has occurred!

The second day of The International Conference on the Synergy of Islamic and Multidisciplinary Approaches (ICISMA) was held successfully on 12 February 2026. Organized by Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah (UIA) and Research Synergy Foundation (RSF), this conference continued virtually through the online platform.

Maintaining the momentum from the first day, ICISMA upheld the theme of “Synergy of Islamic and Multidisciplinary Approaches” with more comprehensive tracks of interdisciplinary fields of study presented by the participants.

The second day continued to provide a dynamic forum for the advancement of knowledge, collaboration, promotion of cross-cultural understanding, and to strengthen interdisciplinary research. It served as a consistent platform for scholars to share their thoughts, insights, and findings in various spectrums of Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Halal Industry, Technology, and Management.

Showing a strong global enthusiasm, the conference successfully gathered speakers, participants, scientific reviewers, session chairs, and attendees from more than 16+ countries around the globe, such as Indonesia, Egypt, Malaysia, USA, Taiwan, India, Iran, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, the Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and many more.

Keynote Speaker Sessions (Day 2)

The session then proceeded with presentations from the remaining Keynote Speakers. First was Dr. Zaid Barzinji, President of The Maqasid Institute, who explored "Phenomena-based Research and the New Maqasid Approach: A Transdisciplinary Research Framework." His session offered a fresh methodological lens for contemporary Islamic research.

He was followed by Dr. R. Indarjani, M.Sc., Director of LPPM Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah, Indonesia. She delivered a session on "Halal Food Industry: God Commands and Business," bridging the gap between spiritual mandates and commercial viability in the global market.

After the break, the energy and enthusiasm remained exceptionally high as the conference resumed with the second for the second session of Online Academic Presentation. The Session Chairs for the online academic presentation session of ICISMA 2025 are:

In this session, the discussion went smoothly and the questions came from virtual participants. After all the presenters finished with their presentation, all the presenters and attendees were directed to go to the Main Room to wait for the Best Presenter, Best Paper announcement, Session Chair Recognition, and Closing Speech.

Awarding Session

After all the participants were back on the main room, there was a short break as a preparation for the awarding session and the closing ceremony. Then, the MC announced the Best Presentation and the Best Paper awards. There were 2 Best Presentation awardees and 1 Best Paper awardees.
