The 5th International Conference on Islamic Epistemology (5th ICIE)

A remarkable event has occurred!

The 5th International Conference on Islamic Epistemology (5th ICIE)was an outstanding event held on October 23-24, 2024. The 5th ICIE is a conference collaboration program between Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI), Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ambon and Research Synergy Foundation (RSF). Co-hosted by Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah (UIA) and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). This conference was held on virtual platform and has given a chance to increase knowledge among researchers found ideas for further research, and new found research and collaboration opportunities.

This event was held in two days and the virtual conference has been a great success. Participants and audiences who attended came from Indonesia, United Kingdom, USA, Phillipines, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, India, Malaysia, Iraq, Singapore, Nepal and many more.

All researchers, scholars, and colleagues participated in the discussions and exchanged ideas at the scientific conference. This year, the conference brought up the theme of “Facing The New Era of Diplomacy: Strengthening The Islamic Values in The Global World Order” and aimed strengthen multidisciplinary research from basic for share their thought and findings in various spectrum of Education, Islamic Studies, Islamic Economics, Social Science and Halal Studies and other related field of studies. This international conference was divided into two days and two session of presentation on the second day, with each session consist of 6 to 7 presenters.

 

In this conference, we discuss and shares research topic surrounding

Education, Islamic Studies, Islamic Economics, Social Science and Halal Studies 

Day-1 (October 23, 2024)

 The Event starts with some welcome remarks from Drs. Murni Djamal, MA. as the Conference Chair of the 5th ICIE Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia and followed by Opening Speech of 5th ICIE by Dr. Zirmansyah, M.Pd. as a Vice Rector 1, Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia.

Then, the conference continued by an introduction to the Global Research Ecosystem Introduction by Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih as the Co-Conference Chair of 5th ICIE and the Founder & Chairperson of Research Synergy Foundation.

This year, the conference consisted of 13 presenters and more than 254 Participants from 18 countries.

Day-2 (October 24, 2024)

 

On the second day of The 5th International Conference on Islamic Epistemology (5th ICIE), the first agenda of the day is the Welcome Remarks by Prof. Dr. Adam Latuconsina as a Vice Rector 1, IAIN Ambon and Opening Speech by Dr. (HC) Habib Chirzin, MA. from IIIT Indonesia Country Representative

Online Academic Presentation Session – Day 2, Session 1

 

After Welcome Remarks and Opening Speech Session, the conference then continued by an Online Academic Presentation Session. With Track Islamic Studies, Track Islamic Economics, Track Halal Studies, for the first session, the Session Chair is:

In this session, the discussion went smoothly on all  the presenters attended and the questions came from virtual attendees. After all the presenter finished with their presentation, all the presenters and attendees take a break.

 

 

Online Academic Presentation Session – Day 2, Session 2

After the Lunch Break, 5th ICIE conference then continued by an Online Academic Presentation Session 2. With Track Education, Track Social Science, Track Islamic Studies For the second day on the 2nd session, the Session Chairs were:

In this session, the discussion went smoothly on some of the presenters attended and the questions came from virtual attendees. After all the presenter finished with their presentation, all the presenters and attendees take a short break in the Main Room for waiting the Best Presenter, Best Paper announcement and Closing Remarks..

Awarding Session

After a short break as a preparation for the awarding session and the closing ceremony. Then, the MC announced the Best Presentation and the Best Paper awards. There were 3 Best Presentation awardees and 1 Best Paper awardees.

The Best Presentation category was nominated based on the professionalism, the organization of the presentation, the visual of the presentation, and the handling of the questions, based on the evaluation given by the Session Chairs throughout the presentation.

5th  ICIE was held successfully in two days.

 

With this international conference, it is hoped that all participants will gain valuable knowledge, and collaboration will be formed to continue research so that it is more developed. The committee and participants look forward for the next International Conference on Islamic Epistemology with further collaboration and interesting topics.
