Abstract conference proceedings of The 4th International Conference on Islamic Epistemology (ICIE) is a scientific output from a conference program organized by Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) and Research Synergy Foundation (RSF). Co-hosted by Universitas Islam As-Syafiiyah (UIA), International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). The 4th ICIE provides a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to explore, discuss, and advance the understanding of Islamic epistemology. Through the discussion, participants are open to fostering collaboration, seeking to deepen their knowledge of the sources of knowledge and belief in the Islamic tradition, and examining the role of reason, revelation, tradition, and authority in shaping Islamic epistemology under the theme of “Maqashid Syariah as Fundamental Principles in Islamic Thought and its relevance in Islamic Civilization”.
