International Psychology Conference on Mental Health and Resilience (IPC-MHR)

A remarkable event has occurred!

International Psychology Conference on Mental Health and Resilience (IPC-MHR) was an outstanding event held on February 22, 2024.

International Psychology Conference on Mental Health and Resilience (IPC-MHR) is a conference collaboration program between the Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Islam Bandung and Research Synergy Foundation. This conference was held virtually and has given a chance to increase knowledge among researchers found ideas for further research, and new found research and collaboration opportunities.

This event was held in one day and has been a great success. Participants and audiences who attended came from various countries, such as Indonesia, Canada, United States, Malaysia, Philippines, United Kingdom, Jordan, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Austria, Ukraine, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Yemen, Maldives, Sudan, Tanzania, and many more.

All researchers, scholars, and colleagues participated in the discussions and exchanged ideas at the scientific conference. This year, the conference aimed strengthen interdisciplinary research from basic for share their thought and findings in various spectrum of Clinical psychology, Psychology, Mental health, Human resource management, Educational psychology, Positive psychology, Developmental psychology, Psychometrics, Organizational Development, Neuropsychology, and Social psychology and other related field of studies. There were Keynote Speaker session followed by the online academic presentation session which is divided into 6 breakout rooms.

Opening of IPC-MHR

The opening of IPC-MHR marked by the welcome remarks from Dr. Dewi Sartika, Dra., M.Si., Psikolog. as the Conference Chair of IPC-MHR and the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Islam Bandung, Indonesia. After that, Prof. Dr. H. Edi Setiadi, S.H., M.H. as the Rector of Universitas Islam Bandung, Indonesia, delivered the opening speech.

Next, Prof. Dr. H. Edi Setiadi, S.H., M.H. as the Rector of Universitas Islam Bandung, Indonesia delivered an Opening Speech as the opening of the international conference

The opening speech then followed by Mrs. Ani Wahyu Rachmawati as the Founder & Publication Director of Research Synergy Foundation who explained about the Global Research Ecosystem Introduction.

Keynote Speaker Session

The next session was the Keynote Speaker session moderated by Ms. Santi Rahmawati. There were three keynote speakers on IPC-MHR and the first speaker was Professor Jasser Auda who is The President of Maqasid Institute.

Professor Jasser Auda’s speech was followed by a QnA session. The participants were all excited to ask questions to Professor Jasser Auda. After that, it was time for the next Keynote Speaker, Dr. Bagus Riyono MA, Psikolog who is the President of International Association of Muslim. There was a QnA session after the speech.

Last but not least, the next Keynote Speaker on IPC-MHR was Nanan Nuraini, S.Psi, M.Sc. from Universitas Islam Bandung. Currently, she is also a Doctoral Candidate Program of Neuroscience at University of Missouri, United States.

After all the Keynote Speaker delivered their speech, it was time for the lunch break. The participants were asked to join again after the break for the online parallel academic presentation session.

The online parallel academic presentation was divided into 6 breakout rooms and the session chairs in each breakout room was:

  • Main Room: Dr. Yeoh Sun Wei from SEGi University and Colleges, Malaysia
  • Breakout Room 1: Dr. Ho Meng Chuan from UCSI University, Malaysia
  • Breakout Room 2: Dr. Kan Phaik Im from University of Malaya, Malaysia
  • Breakout Room 3: Dr. Josephine Chavez from  St. Vincent’s College Incorporated, Philippines
  • Breakout Room 4: Prof. Rita P. Aringo from National University, Manila, Philippines
  • Breakout Room 5: Prof. Jefferson S. Marcelo from University of Makati, Philippines 

 

Awarding Session and Closing Ceremony

The online academic presentation session was scheduled to be finished at 15.20 UTC+7. After that, the participants were asked to have a short break to wait for the awarding session. At the awarding session, there were Best Presentation awards, Best Paper awards, and Session Chair Recognition. Throughout the presentation session, the session chairs have given scores for the evaluation of each presenters. The scores were then recapitulated to determine the best presenter in each breakout room. In IPC-MHR, there were six Best Presentation:

    3. No Revision (Accepted) or only having Minor Revision in the previous review during submission
    4. Format/ template alignment,
    5. novelty of the content,
    6. academic, practical, and societal contribution or the impact

This year’s IPC-MHR went successful and we hope to see more collaboration and future conferences ahead.
