How We
Can Help

Many organizations held international conferences or scientific forums as a medium for researchers to present their work. Based on our research, some of them did not maintain scientific and ethical processes. Publication output of the scientific forum, one of the problems they usually deal with, is the leak of manuscript data. Probable predatory journals (journals that charge a huge amount of money for publishing with no ethical process) often offer researchers to publish. Researchers who are not aware will take the (predatory) opportunities and become the object of these publishers. However, these problems are not only happening in a specific country.

We are highly aware of it where we see researcher as the subject that can be empowered.

The fact that there are huge gaps with the notable publisher that need original writing with novel researchers has become one of the issues that we also need to address.

01.

Scientific Forum

Research and publication can not be seen as a separate part. Otherwise, we should take both as a comprehensive program. Moreover, the quality of the paper is the biggest concern for publication. In order to achieve Organization/University/ Institution goal, We offer the scientific forum such as international conference (offline and online), online public lecturing, knowledge sharing session, and forum discussion group that cover all these activities.

A. International Conference

The international conference’s primary focus is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, scholars, and practitioners worldwide to share experience and knowledge to help our society and communicate with the public through scientific publications. To hold an effective and efficient international conference, every organization needs a definite publication output, reliable scientific process, good pre-during-post process coordination, and an integrated system. In RSF, we ensure that every conference we hold meets the international scientific standard and aligns with the Ethical Guidelines of Publication. The committees formulate the guideline by instigating series of study conducted by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), IEEE Explore Author Guideline Ethic, and I-DAS ethical through desk research method.

There are many benefits and opportunities for us to participate in an international conference. Please see the below gallery that shown the benefit for Researcher, Lecturer, Student, and Practioner.

There are two types of Academic International Conference that We Do:

Both types still have the same quality of a reliable scientific process, vibrant scientific feedback, and reputable publication output in the various indexed international journals (Scopus/ WOS/ SSCI/ ESCI/ Copernicus/ DOAJ/ Google Scholar, and more).

1. Offline Conference:

Since 2017, RSF had conducted international conferences in more than 15 countries, thus create grand networking among global scholars. We believe that the conference is a proactive media to gather scholars to present at the same time and place to discuss current research trends to solve the social problem and challenge. Face-to-face knowledge sharing medium, scholar’s interaction, insight and feedback exchange, and direct networking are the benefits that every participant can get during the offline conference.

2. Virtual Conference:

This program happens as the current pandemic problems (starting March 2020 – current) creating a challenge for researchers. RSF continuously keeps the spirit of research impact and dissemination for the betterment of wider societies. We still aim to provide a useful research ecosystem. Not only providing a medium where scholars can share their research and ideas, but we also offer several schemes to sharpen the research (one of it through a virtual platform). The virtual conference doesn’t hamper us to keep the scientific forum alive. We always open attendees for the virtual conference by calling all scholars worldwide to join at the virtual conference day to give feedback to the presenters. Although there are no direct interaction/ face-to-face options, the discussion and feedback session still run effectively and have a mutual benefit (both for presenters and audience/ attendee). By the virtual conference, we broaden the coverage and impact area to more than 35 countries around the globe.

B. Conference Management & Operating System

Since 2017, RSF uses the “Scholarvein” system to maintain the scientific process’s credibility in every scientific forum. Scholarvein is a circulatory system that brings scholars to the next level of contribution. Supported by an established IT system and professional team, we bring transparency in every step of the scientific forum and process. One of the prominent services is the “Integrated International Conference Management and Operating System” (including the Pre-*During-Post phase) that already served >3000 scholars around the globe. Scholarvein Conference Management and Operating System (CMOS) has many features to help university/organization to held a conference in a effective and efficient ways.

There are benefit of using Scholarvein CMOS as follow:

RSF continuously joins hands-in-hands with many experts that are already recognized globally to bring knowledge closer to everyone in no limitation.

These are the previous program that already happens during this pandemic uncertainty time:

D. Online Sharing Session #askEditor Forum

The sharing session is purposively created to provide the best practice and guide from the editors and publisher perspectives. This online forum already associated with the big and reputable scientific publisher such as Emerald, Taylor & Francis Group, and F1000Research. Through this online forum, RSF wants to strengthen collaboration with all academic stakeholders to create a more vibrant global research ecosystem.

E. Global Research Ecosystem Network Group/ Forum

Under the management of RSF called “Global Research Ecosystem Network,” the Facebook group is open for everyone interested in research and academic enhancement. This forum allows the members to share their idea, perspective, and relevant information. Moreover, the discussion can continue in this forum after the conference or other scientific program and forum ends.

02.

Research Capacity Enhancement

We believe that the researcher/ author as the subject that can be empowered. The fact that there are huge gaps with the notable publisher that need original writing with novel researchers has become one of the issues that need to be addressed. RSF committed to bring more opportunity and benefit to the local academician and enhance their scientific skills.

a. Scientific and Academic Writing: Coaching Clinic series

03.

International Publication

a. Managing International Journal

Managing International Journal by RSF Press, which meets the Scopus/ WOS standard is not easy. That’s why Research Synergy Foundation has specific program to enhance managing International Journal towards reputable Indexing such as Scopus/ WOS Index.

Common problems in managing International journals can be divided into some significant problem:

1. Unprofessional Management when the person in charge has a lack of experience using Open Journal System or other platforms and lack of expertise to doing the Journal Business process.

2. Require time and Resource investment : This problem happened because the person in charge needs to involved in training/ workshop to enhance their skill in managing journal and need to mastering some essential skill of managing journal.

3. Challenge to exposure journal and creating a scholar’s network: Managing journals also require the ability to creating a scholar’s network to disseminate the knowledge. The common issues in this part are difficulties to get manuscripts regularly from abroad and difficulties to invite prominent scholars as reviewer or Editorial Board.

4. Challenge to meet the minimum requirement of Indexer; Many journal manager/ managing editor only know about how to operate the journal management however lack of experience to understand the minimum requirement of Indexer (Scopus/ WOS, DOAJ etc).

This is our strategy to manage the International journal in two years towards Scopus/ WOS Index

Year 1: Establish and Exposure

Establish

Journal management starting to establish all the Journal Management standard consists of: Publish regularly in a year, registered ISSN number, applying DOI for all article published, managing all Journal business process in Open Journal System and managing journal based on COPE  (Commission of Publication Ethics) Standard

Exposure

All the journals managed by Research Synergy Foundation will have broader exposure to all Research Synergy Foundation’s Scientific Forum and network in all disciplines. This is the key of success to get a diversity of author, diversity of scientific reviewer and diversity of Editorial board

Year 2: Evaluate

The second-year is very important because all the journals managed by Research Synergy Foundation will be submitted to Scopus by the end of the second year. The strategy in second years consists of evaluating the journal policy (aim and scope) align with all articles published, checking quality of content whether the journals already cited by an article published in Scopus or not, journal standing consist of how reputable scientific reviewers and the editorial board in that field of study (usually they should have higher H-Index in Scopus or higher Impact factor in WOS) and how comprehensive information provided by the journal’s website to increase the quality of user experience and facilitate the Scopus reviewer to evaluate the journal itself.

b. Publication Outputs

Various publication outputs from the scientific forum such as conference, coaching, and workshop. There are more than 600 journals had joined Research Synergy Foundation (RSF) network and still continue growing by numbers and collaborations. RSF promote many journals to global scholar network by providing supply of paper from international conference platform. Now, RSF invites more papers around the globe to join us in order to get diversity author (as requirement to be indexed in SCOPUS/ WOS).

04.

Scientific Process

A. scientific Review Process

Each of our programs has a scientific process to ensure that the paper’s quality is good.
Regarding the review process in RSF international conference forum, we use the Double-Blind Review Process that had done by our reviewer database in “Reviewertrack” system, which connected automatically to our “Scholarvein” Integrated and Easy Conference Management Operating System (CMOS).

The scientific review process also depends on the conference submission type. There is a conference that only needs “abstract” as the 1st selection process of the participation, and a conference that needs “full paper” as the 1st selection process of the participation.

We divide the three stages of managing the conference, which covers: pre-during-and post process. The general flow of scientific review also depends on the output of publication of the conference itself. There is output for a proceeding conference paper, and also output for journal recommendation. Each of the output has a different process and timeline (stated clearly on our conference website).

B. Ethical Guideline

To define best practice in ethics of scientific publishing is one of the fundamental matter in research, therefore we provide instructions aiming to provide guidelines for authors; conference participants; editors; editorial board members; owners of journals; reviewers; and publishers.

The committees formulate the guideline by instigating series of study conducted by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), IEEE Explore Author Guideline Ethic, and I-DAS ethical through desk research method. The committees address several imperative guidelines as part of Ethical guideline that consists of General Role Ethics Guideline and Manuscript Writing Ethics Guideline. The General Role Ethics Guideline encompasses Conference Chairman Ethics, Scientific Review Ethics, Author Ethics, and Journal Editor Ethics. Meanwhile, the Manuscript Writing Ethic Guideline includes Ethics of Citation, Ethics of Data Report, Ethics in the Publishing Process, and Avoidance of Plagiarism and Redundancy of Research.

05.

Research Collaboration & Partnership

*In the field of Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, Economy, Education, Tourism, Sustainable Development Studies, Social Science, and Humanities.
*Have original and unpublished paper/ research article.
*If don’t have the paper, committed to contributing to the paper writing process until it is published.
*Willing to work in a team.
*Willing to contribute in a particular area of the scientific article writing procedures (for example: adding the literature’s source, data collection, data analysis, proofreading, reviewing the article).

Please join us to collaborate in the Paper writing collaboration scheme. The paper will be submitted to the RSF Academic International Conference, and International Journal published by RSF Press will have GRANTS for FREE of publication charge.

*The paper also have the opportunity to be indexed in various reputable indexers and publishers (selected by the committee).

b. Connecting Research Parties

Research Synergy Foundation (RSF) is known as a catalyst and media collaborator among researchers around the world. One of the ways is facilitating the collaboration discussion among institutions. We are connecting all related stakeholders to have a broader impact. Author, Reader, Institution, Reviewer, Editor, and Publisher can take their specific role in our global research ecosystem.

c. Shared Value Co-Creation Programs

This program encourages mutual promotion, exchange experts, scientific committee contribution, build potential cross-border collaborations, and support research publication. Every RSF partners have the same opportunity to share the value in order to create an impactful program.

06.

Community Service Program

a. Conference Grants

The program is one of the best offerings from RSF for young Indonesian scholars.
This Conference Grant, with a total of US $50,400 is dedicated to 180 bachelors and master students (preferably for those who meet the Cumlaude criteria).

This Conference Grant provides the best opportunity to forge junior researchers to appear at international conferences and global forums worldwide (www.researchsynergy.org/upcoming-international-conference/). So that junior researchers will have the experience and capability to become Global Scholars.

b. Zero budget in managing the conference

RSF has a partnership scheme to help the university to have an international conference because we realize that the faculty members or lecturers already have an abundance load in teaching, research, and community service. Not all universities have enough resource time, manpower, and financial support to organize and conduct the international conference. On the other hand, RSF already has a reliable integrated research ecosystem (Scholarvein, Reviewertrack, RSI, and RSF Press) that can effectively and efficiently handle the academic conference’s pre-during-post process. RSF offers the “Zero budget in managing the conference” pattern with the spirit of empowering others. In 2018, there are 2 universities that we had helped. In 2019, there are 13 universities that we had helped. Then, in 2020, we still commit to help 8 universities and associations during the pandemic and uncertainty time. The previous partnership conference of 2018 – current can be seen at this link https://www.researchsynergy.org/previous-events/ .

Please contact us to get more information and an explanation regarding this partnership scheme.

c. support program for local journal to get more papers

Since 2017, 60% of papers from our 104 conferences have been distributed to 82 Indonesian journals. It is one of RSF support for local journals to keep their diversity and continuity of their volume toward Scopus indexed.

d. National and international service program

As our firm committed to contributing to Indonesia and society, since 2018, we have held the National and International service programs. Through this program, we open a public registration for institution/ university/ association that wants to expand its network and improve its scientific publication impact.
