The 3rd Educational Sciences International Conference (ESIC) is an international conference devoted to the educational theory and practice, especially on teaching and learning. The conference held by collaboration between Fakultas Keguruan dan IlmuPendidikan Universitas Negeri Mulawarman(FKIP UNMUL) and Research Synergy Foundation (RSF). This conference held virtually on November 13-14, 2020.

The aim of this Conference is to bring together leading academician, researchers and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of education in general, teacher professional development, technology in education, teaching media, teaching language and literature, gender in education as well as higher education management related areas.

The 3rd ESIC shows up as a educational service platform to gather presentations and discussions of recent achievements by leading researchers in academic research.

This conference was attended by 85 Presenters and 145 Attendees from Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, Cambodia, Pakistan, Japan, Cameroon, Tanzania, Nigeria.

Before the conference started, all participants that already attended this event singing National Anthem of Indonesia Raya and Anthem of Universitas Mulawarman together.

Continue with opening prayer that guided by Dr. Iwan Setiawan, M.Pd.

First day of conference was opened by Dr. phil. Maria Teodora Ping, M.Sc. as Conference Chair of 3rd ESIC

Then, Dean of FKIP Universitas Mulawarman, Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Amir Masruhim, M.Kes. welcoming all participants that joined to this conference.

Continue Prof. Dr. H. Masjaya, M.Si. as Rector of Universitas Mulawarman, Indonesia that represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Mustofa Agung Sardjono as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Universitas Mulawarman, Indonesia also welcoming all the participants.

Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, SE., MM. as Founder & Chairman of Research Synergy Foundation and Co-Confernce Chair 3rd ESIC give an Introduction of Global Research Ecosystem.

3rd ESIC 2020 invited competent speakers to give knowledgeable speech for participants who attend the conference.

The first speaker was Dr. Charlott Rubach from School of Education, University of California, Irvine.

The second speaker was Dr.GumawangJati from Institut Teknologi Bandung

The third speaker was Assoc. Prof. Dr.Patcharin Panjaburee from Mahidol University, Thailand 

The third speaker was Prof. Dr. Susilo from FKIP Universitas Mulawarman

The last speaker for the first day of conference was Dr.Ir. M.M. Inggriani from NBO Bebras Indonesia 

This session from the keynotes were greeted positively by the participants. Question and answer sessions made the curiosity of the participants causing exciting and fruitful discussions.

Finally in the closing ceremony, it was announced for participants who received the Best Presentation. Best Presentations day one were chosen by the session chair in charge of presentation sessions in each room. They assess each participants presentation based on evaluation form. The Best Presentation are:

  1. Ms. Pratiwi with research entitled was “Children Kinesthetic Intelligence Optimization Through Motion and Song Learning Strategies Based on Curriculum 2013 In TK N Kab. Kukar and TK N Kab. Penajam Paser Utara”
  2. Mr. Ventje Jany Kalukar with research entitled was “Improving The English Vocabulary Mastery Through Contextual Approach”
  3. Syamdianita with research entitled was “Pre-service Teachers’ Experiences in Blending Technology Tools to Create Efl Learning Videos”
  4. Ms. Hety Diana Septika with research entitled was “Implementation Local Wisdom Values of Kroenik Van Kutei in Learning in Elementary Schools”
  5. Esti Rahayu with research entitled was “Workplace English Learning for Academic Operation Staff In An Indonesian Tertiary Education Institution”

The first day was closed by Dr. phil. Maria Teodora Ping, M.Sc. as Conference Chair of 3rd ESIC 

Second day of conference was held on November 14, 2020. Today conference was opened by Dr. Sunardi, S.S., M.Hum. as Vice Dean of FKIP Universitas Mulawarman, Indonesia

After the opening and welcoming remarks, continue with Keynote speakers session. In this second day, we had four competent speakers.

The first was Dr. phil. Hong Giang Pham from Institute of Research on Teaching Profession and on Development of Competencies, St. Gallen University of Teacher Education, Switzerland 

The second speaker was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Francis Troyan from College of Education and Human Ecology, Ohio State University 

The third speaker was Dr. Willy ArdianRenandya from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University Singapore 

The last speaker was Prof. Dr.Dwi Nugroho from FKIP Universitas Mulawarman

After the keynote speakers session then we continue to the presentation session.

Finally in the closing ceremony, it was announced for participants who received the Best Paper and Best Presentation. Best papers were chosen by scientific committee of reviewers who had read the research previously. The Best paper are:

  2. Mr. Rahmat Soe’oed with research entitled “Influence Interaction of Schools’ Principals and The Use of Information , Communication, RahmatSoe’oed Virtual Presentation and Technology (ICT) in Learning towards The Teachers’ Performance of SMP Negeri in Samarinda Seberang”

In addition, Best Presentations day one were chosen by the session chair in charge of presentation sessions in each room. They assess each participants presentation based on evaluation form. The Best Presentation are:

  1. Mr. A.A.  Bagus  Surya with research entitled “The Effect of Principal Leadership Effectiveness and Professional Competence on Job Satisfaction of Public Junior High School Teachers In Sungai Kukung Samarinda”

  3. Ms. Pintaka  Kusumaningtyas with research entitled “Correlation Between Multiple Intelligence and Chemical Literacy of The 11th Grade Students of Senior High School”
  4. Ms. Sukemi with research entitled “Senior High School Student’s Perception on The Online Chemistry Learning Using Google Classroom”
  5. Mr. Andi  Rustandi with research entitled “The Development of Game Learning Media on Computer Hardware In Sekolah Menengah Pertama Muhammadiyah 3 of Samarinda City”

The last day of conference was held successfully and finally The 3rd Educational Sciences International Conference (ESIC) officially end. The conference was closed by Dr. phil. Maria Teodora Ping, M.Sc. as Conference Chair of 3rd ESIC
